 // . //  About //  Patrick Lortie

Patrick loves a challenge; as the global head of Oliver Wyman’s Transportation Practice and the Canada market head, he is often faced with one. Equipped with impressive analytical and problem-solving skills from his degree in computer engineering and his MBA from Kellogg, Patrick works closely with Boards and Executive Teams on high stake assignments across a wide range of transportation companies globally.

While studying, I had also worked for airlines in Argentina and France, which provided good visibility into the realities of running an airline. I had the opportunity to work on projects not so dissimilar from what I would expect as an Oliver Wyman consultant and it was a great opportunity to work in a multicultural environment.

Having worked with major a railroad to improve their safety practices and thus minimize the frequency and impact of train accidents, Patrick is the man to come to when the heat gets turned up.  He thrives on managing high-pressure situations with expert precision.

Our recommendations have direct impacts on companies’ behaviors. It’s great to have the opportunity to be in the boiler room when it matters most. Clients seek us out to solve their biggest challenges.

In addition, Patrick has supported several transactions on medium to large assets in the transportation industry (including rail, maritime, aerospace, transportation services, and parcel delivery industries) on behalf of major global private equity firms and large sovereign wealth funds globally.

We have the great privilege to travel the world to advise the most senior executives of some of the leading corporations globally. We are successful because we constantly strive to find new ways bring value to our clients.

Patrick is fluent in French and English, with a strong knowledge of Spanish. He's also a certified ski instructor and is passionate about developing his skills to deliver the best service to his clients.
