US Financial Institutions Practice Leader, Marsh

Alex Delaricheliere is the US banking and capital markets industry practice leader. In this role, Alex is responsible for driving retention and creating product strategies for Marsh’s US-based banking and capital markets clients and is a senior advisor to a number of firms on the topic of risk philosophy/strategy, tolerance, and financing.

Alex joined Marsh in 2017 from Goldman Sachs, where he worked for 10 years as a vice president in the corporate insurance management group within the firm’s risk department. At Goldman, Alex was responsible for oversight of the firm’s captive insurance company, the respective asset management divisions, and all financial lines of coverage. Additionally, he collaborated with the firm’s operational risk department, frequently as a risk scenario participant while establishing and refreshing the firm’s operational risk taxonomy. Prior to Goldman, Alex held various senior roles in the department of financial institutions at Chubb Ltd. and, before that, at American International Group Inc. where he began his insurance career in 1995 as an underwriter.
