Nigel leads Mercer’s Global Financial Services Practice. He has expert knowledge of business strategy, corporate finance, organizational effectiveness and design, workforce planning and analytics, employee benefits and rewards and employee engagement/communications.
He joined Mercer in 2012 as a Partner and Client Manager, following a career in investment banking where he held both client-facing and HR leadership roles. This included several international assignments in the US and Europe with both UBS and Credit Agricole. While at Credit Agricole, Nigel set up and led a global banking practice for the automotive industry.
Nigel combines hands-on business experience in banking with practical knowledge of HR strategy and operations. As an HR & Communications Director, he led organizational transformation projects, including post-merger integration, organizational design and leadership development. His consulting assignments include: health & well being strategy review (major UK bank); design and delivery of HR business partnership training (supranational bank); performance management and leadership training for (French and UK banks); captive reinsurance strategy for employee benefits (UK bank); global site selection (automotive manufacturer).
Nigel holds a joint honors Bachelor of Arts degree in French and German from Bristol University and a Master of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management, Evanston, IL. Nigel is fluent in French and German, enabling him to interpret cultural nuances and convert to practical solutions.
