Rafa leads Oliver Wyman’s Communications, Media and Technology Practice and is a man who likes to learn and help his clients and colleagues learn too:
The projects I have enjoyed the most have been the ones that have transformed our colleagues, really helped them grow and become in love with our profession. Also the ones that have changed clients' mindsets, sometimes entire organizations, to achieve things they considered impossible at the outset.
Communication has always been Rafa’s core strength: he has worked with all functions of telco organizations from general management (CEO) to marketing, sales, customer operations, network, IT, and support functions, both in OpCo and corporate environments. In addition to being fluent in both Spanish and English, he is also competent at French, able to understand German, and has even tackled Mandarin.
For Rafa, teamwork and developing new skills shared together is what matters most in his professional career. He is sharp, independent and proactive. Clients and colleagues seek him out help, guidance, advice or support, in and out of the office.
For me, the job is all about working together; be open minded, love the client, learn from and respect the rest of the team, and never stop thinking for yourself.
