 // . //  About //  Terry Stone

Based in Dallas, Terry has been with Oliver Wyman for more than two decades, becoming a Partner in 2005. She leads Oliver Wyman’s largest region, working across the firm’s entire range of industries and capabilities in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.

While she initially focused on Financial Services, she moved to the Health and Life Sciences Practice, becoming its lead in 2013. Terry grew the Practice exponentially, spearheading Oliver Wyman’s efforts to develop transformational strategies for healthcare companies in the payer, provider, life sciences, services and technology spaces.

As one of the most senior female leaders in Oliver Wyman, Terry mentors, sponsors and supports other women, both inside and outside the firm. She helps her mentees realize their full potential by providing guidance, encouragement and networking opportunities.

I have a reputation as a rule breaker because I challenge the status quo. When someone tells me I can’t do something, I work to understand why. I try to establish a way we can work together and move forward on an alternative path

She is also an active and enthusiastic member of the Women at Oliver Wyman (WOW) advocacy group, which aims to catalyze the firm’s ability to attract, develop and retain highly-talented women, and unlock their potential to drive business performance. Terry knows first-hand the challenges women face in balancing a demanding job and busy family life, and champions support systems that allow women to continue their career trajectory while having a family.

Outside of work, Terry channels her creative side through interior design, home improvement projects and gardening. She has even won an award for her urban garden landscape.

Terry has Bachelors of Arts Degree in Chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross and earned her MBA from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina.
